Privacy policy
This policy explains how 01Resolved, Inc., a Delaware corporation (“01Resolved”, “we”, “us”), collects, uses and shares personal information when you visit the OpenBooks website or contact us through it. It does not cover the OpenBooks application or the data our customers process in it, which are governed by the agreement we sign with each customer.
1. Information we collect
Information you give us
When you request a demo or contact us through the website, we collect:
- your name, work email address, organization and Telegram handle;
- anything else you choose to share, such as the sources you use, who you report to, whether you have a live token and your message; and
- the page you contacted us from.
Information collected automatically
When you visit the website, our hosting provider records standard server logs, such as your IP address, browser type, the pages you request and the date and time of your visit. To protect the contact form from abuse, we also count recent submissions by IP address for a few minutes in server memory; this count is not stored.
The website does not use cookies, analytics tools or advertising trackers, and we do not build profiles of visitors.
2. How we use information
- to respond to your enquiry, arrange a demo and contact you by email or Telegram;
- to understand your reporting needs so we can scope the service for you;
- to operate, secure and maintain the website and prevent abuse; and
- to comply with our legal obligations and enforce our terms.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.
3. Legal bases for processing
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, we process your information because it is necessary to respond to your request before entering into a contract, for our legitimate interests in operating and securing the website and responding to business enquiries, or to comply with a legal obligation.
4. How we share information
We share personal information only with:
- service providers that help us run the website and respond to you, including our hosting provider and Telegram, which delivers enquiries to our team's chat, under terms that limit their use of the information;
- professional advisors, such as lawyers and accountants, where needed;
- authorities or other parties where required by law, or to protect the rights, safety or property of 01Resolved, our users or others; and
- a buyer or successor in a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, subject to this policy.
5. International transfers
01Resolved is based in the United States, and our service providers may process information in other countries. Where the law requires it, we use appropriate safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses, for transfers of personal information out of your country.
6. How long we keep information
We keep enquiry information for as long as needed to respond to you and manage any resulting relationship, and delete it within 24 months of our last contact unless we need to keep it longer to meet a legal obligation. Server logs are kept by our hosting provider for a limited period for security and operations.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete your personal information, to object to or restrict how we use it, to receive a copy of it, and to withdraw consent where we rely on consent. California residents also have the right to know what personal information we collect and how we use it, to correct and delete it, and not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
To make a request, email team@01resolved.com. We may need to verify your identity before we respond, and we will respond within the time the law requires. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.
8. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal information, including encrypted connections to the website. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
9. Children
The website is intended for businesses and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
10. Other websites
The website links to other sites, such as 01Resolved, X and Telegram. Their own privacy policies govern how they handle your information.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page with a new effective date.
